Family League Bulletin: Family League of Baltimore Awards Over $500,000 for Summer Programs for City Youth

Family League of Baltimore has awarded competitive grants to 32 organizations to expand and enhance the overall quality of summer learning opportunities for over 4,500 Baltimore City youth. Family League is grateful for the funding provided by the Mayor’s Office and Baltimore City Public Schools to offer enriched summer learning opportunities for city youth.

The grants will support programs for city youths in elementary, middle, and high school focusing on STEM, literacy, college and career readiness, workforce development, and arts and learning programs, as well as summer camps offering both academic and enrichment activities.

“Every child living in Baltimore City deserves a chance to have fun over the summer, as well as an opportunity to continue learning and exploring the world around them,” said Family League President and CEO Jonathon Rondeau. “These grant funds make it possible to offer more safe and enriching choices to more kids in neighborhoods across the city.”
