Demaune A. Millard was appointed the 5th President & CEO of Family League of Baltimore by its Board of Directors in April 2018. He leads and manages Family League’s $22 million operations, the largest local management board in the state of Maryland.
Prior to his elevation to the role of President, Demaune served for over two years as the organization’s Chief Operating Officer and assumed the role of Interim CEO in July 2017. In addition to his core responsibilities, Demaune also serves on the cabinet of the Honorable Brandon M. Scott, Mayor of the City of Baltimore, and is a member of the Greater Baltimore Committee’s (GBC) Presidential Advisory Council and the Johns Hopkins University Center on Adolescent Health Community Advisory Board. He chairs GBC’s Education and Workforce Committee and serves as Co-Chair of Baltimore City’s Community Schools Steering Committee. Millard formerly served on the United Way of Central Maryland’s Community Partnership Board and Baltimore City Department of Recreation & Parks #REC2025 Steering Committee.

Tywanna Taylor has overall operational and administrative responsibility for all Family League support functions including the Impact and People & Culture units. As the chief administrator, she provides leadership to Family League’s organizational restructuring following our strategic planning process aligned with new strategic initiatives. In addition, Tywanna provides coordination for the leadership team, serves as a liaison to Family League’s assigned partners, and works with our Board of Directors to keep them abreast of strategies and challenges. Tywanna partners with our President & CEO and all other members of the Leadership Team in developing, implementing, and managing the operational aspects of the annual budget. She leads the development and implementation of operational policies and standard operating procedures that support greater operational efficiencies and excellence. Prior to joining Family League as its Senior Director for Grants and Contracts, Tywanna worked as a public servant for Baltimore City and the State of Maryland. In these capacities, Tywanna managed grants and contracts for various programs ranging from youth violence prevention to workforce development for unemployed and underemployed parents with child support obligations. Tywanna obtained a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Leadership from the University of Delaware in 2003. She feels strongly that life has been her greatest teacher and considers herself an interminable student. Outside of professional pursuits, Tywanna enjoys Latin and Afro-Caribbean dancing, foodie road trips, and travel to lesser-known parts of the globe.

As Family League’s Chief Programming Officer, Khalilah Slater Harrington guides the overall strategy of organizational programming, leveraging her deep knowledge of education, collective impact, program administration and operations.
Khalilah joined Family League’s leadership team as Senior Director of Youth Initiatives in January 2017. She brings over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector to this new role.Prior to joining Family League, Khalilah was Program Manager for the Bainum Family Foundation in Bethesda, Maryland, where she developed comprehensive strategies to establish outcomes that support educational programs and projects that assist children from early childhood through post-secondary school.Khalilah previously worked with a variety of organizations in Cincinnati, Ohio, including Cincinnati Public Schools, The KnowledgeWorks Foundation, and The Urban League of Greater Cincinnati, managing and directing youth-serving programs, developing community partnerships, and enhancing summer learning opportunities for students at low-performing schools. Her hands-on experience in Community Schools is an asset to Family League as its commitment to implementing the strategy here in Baltimore continues to grow. Khalilah holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a master’s degree in Education from the University of Cincinnati. She is quite enamored with her husband, Pickett, and their daughter, Addison, and son, Alexander.

Jonathan Carter joined Family League in 2015. As the Senior Director of Strategic Operations & Compliance, Jonathan oversees the organization’s grant development and grant compliance work. He also collaborates with Family League leadership on new initiative development and aligning programmatic investments to leverage resources and move forward organizational goals and City and State priorities. Jonathan has over 10 years of experience in human services, in macro-level and direct-service settings. Most recently, he worked with United Way of Central Maryland and was an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland School of Social Work. Jonathan holds a bachelor’s degree from Davidson College and a master’s degree from the University of Maryland School of Social Work. He is a proud husband to his wife, Stacey, and a proud father to his two children, Dean and Lily.
Dara Lindo joined Family League’s leadership team as Senior Director of Impact in October 2018. She demonstrates her ability to use thoughtful insight, troubleshooting, and team collaboration to ensure both our IT and Data and Evaluation Departments best serve all our partners, with a focus on integrity, stability and security.
Dara is a solution-oriented problem solver dedicated to process analysis and improvement. Before joining Family League of Baltimore, she served in a variety of technical and leadership positions in several agencies within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania before transitioning to private industry and into the retail sector. During her twelve years at The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc., Dara was a Storage Systems & Database Administrator, a Database Administration Manager, and most recently as the Network Security Manager.
Dara is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University and plans to continue pursuit of her master’s degree in Cybersecurity Management and Policy from the University of Maryland University College (UMUC).
Giving back to one’s community is important to Dara. Prior to working for Family League Dara served on the Board of Directors for the House of Hope in York, where they provide a loving, Christ-centered environment that brings hope, healing, and restoration to hurting teenagers and their families. Dara also served on the Board of Directors for the York Literacy Council to help strengthen families through literacy education.
Keianna Thompson serves as Senior Director of Finance for Family League of Baltimore. In this role, she is primarily responsible for managing the accounting staff, financial reporting, and offering technical assistance to our Funded Partners.
Joining Family League in 2014, Keianna has worked in the accounting field for more than 15 years, focusing on various industries including civil rights, disaster relief, gas and oil, and pharmaceuticals.
