Family League of Baltimore Celebrates 31 Years of Service, Honoring Six Community Partners

Baltimore, MD —As the designated Local Management Board (LMB) for Baltimore City, Family League invested more than $21.4 million to 81 community partners, benefitting more than 25,000 children, youth, and adults this year. Thursday, November 10, 2022, Family League will reopen its doors for the first time since the outset of the global pandemic to celebrate 31 years of investing in Baltimore’s children, youth, and families at the 2022 Annual Meeting: Year of Innovation! Festivities will kick off with a reception at 6 p.m., followed by recognition of honorees. Community leaders and special guests, including Mayor Brandon Scott, will gather to celebrate the community innovation that sustained our city through the public health crisis into recovery.

Family League of Baltimore and Morgan State University School of Community Health and Policy in partnership with Share Our Strength and CLLCTIVLY, announce the 21 recipients of $200,000 in Adaptive Village Small Grants. Adaptive Village Small Grants program is dedicated to supporting grassroots leaders in the City of Baltimore by providing low-strings-attached grant funding, enabling Baltimore communities to tell their own stories and celebrate their efforts unfiltered by others. Over 120 community members submitted a 3-minute video application, requesting grants from $2500-$25,000 to support innovative projects addressing issues of public safety, education, housing, employment, and transportation. In just 10 days there were over 11,000 online votes.
