Baltimore, MD – February 8, 2024Family League of Baltimore announces the elevation of key staff members to new roles and adds a Chief of Staff, Chief Financial Officer and two new Senior Directors to the organization. These changes were made to continue a path toward operational excellence in pursuit of collaborating with the community to improve outcomes for Baltimore’s children, youth, and families.  

Jonathan Carter will serve as Chief of Staff, a new role which will be responsible for maintaining oversight over the Grant & Contracts, as well as the programmatic portfolios now referred to as Community Impact.  

Keianna Thompson is assuming the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Keianna has effectively managed our finances resulting in three consecutive fiscal years of successful audits, one year in which was peer reviewed by multiple auditing entities. 

Jenee Tucker and Melissa Moore are new Senior Directors for Community Impact. Jenee and Melissa will co-lead this unit and assume responsibilities representing Family League in various collective impact strategies throughout the cradle to career continuum.  

Demaune Millard, President & CEO, had this to say about the restructuring of the leadership team, “we are fortunate to have cultivated a successful pipeline of committed leaders well prepared to continue demonstrating their leadership at a high level.” 

Millard further stated that restructuring would allow Family League “to continue advancing our mission efficiently and effectively with fidelity while being community driven and data informed.”
