Demaune A. Millard was appointed the 5th President & CEO of Family League of Baltimore by its Board of Directors in April 2018. He leads and manages Family League’s $22 million operations, the largest local management board in the state of Maryland.
Prior to his elevation to the role of President, Demaune served for over two years as the organization’s Chief Operating Officer and assumed the role of Interim CEO in July 2017. In addition to his core responsibilities, Demaune also serves on the cabinet of the Honorable Brandon M. Scott, Mayor of the City of Baltimore, and is a member of the Greater Baltimore Committee’s (GBC) Presidential Advisory Council and the Johns Hopkins University Center on Adolescent Health Community Advisory Board. He chairs GBC’s Education and Workforce Committee and serves as Co-Chair of Baltimore City’s Community Schools Steering Committee. Millard formerly served on the United Way of Central Maryland’s Community Partnership Board and Baltimore City Department of Recreation & Parks #REC2025 Steering Committee.

Jonathan Carter serves as the Chief of Staff with Family League of Baltimore. In this role, he manages and facilitates organization-wide cross-functional initiatives and projects that support organizational operations, programmatic investments, and grant compliance. Carter oversees Family League’s Strategic Operations & Community Impact division. He joined Family League in 2015 and has held several roles in the nonprofit sector, in macro-level and direct-service settings. Carter was also an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland School of Social Work.
Jonathan Carter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Davidson College in North Carolina and a Master of Social Work degree from University of Maryland School of Social Work. Carter is a member of Bolton Street Synagogue’s Board of Directors and a proud husband and father.
Keianna Thompson serves as Chief Financial Officer for Family League of Baltimore. In this role, she is primarily responsible for managing the accounting staff, financial reporting, and offering technical assistance to our Funded Partners.
Joining Family League in 2014, Thompson has worked in the accounting field for more than 15 years, focusing on various industries including civil rights, disaster relief, gas and oil, and pharmaceuticals.
Dara Lindo joined Family League’s leadership team as Senior Director of Impact in October 2018. She demonstrates her ability to use thoughtful insight, troubleshooting, and team collaboration to ensure both our IT and Data and Evaluation Departments best serve all our partners, with a focus on integrity, stability and security.
Dara is a solution-oriented problem solver dedicated to process analysis and improvement. Before joining Family League of Baltimore, she served in a variety of technical and leadership positions in several agencies within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania before transitioning to private industry and into the retail sector. During her twelve years at The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc., Dara was a Storage Systems & Database Administrator, a Database Administration Manager, and most recently as the Network Security Manager.
Dara is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University and plans to continue pursuit of her master’s degree in Cybersecurity Management and Policy from the University of Maryland University College (UMUC).
Giving back to one’s community is important to Dara. Prior to working for Family League Dara served on the Board of Directors for the House of Hope in York, where they provide a loving, Christ-centered environment that brings hope, healing, and restoration to hurting teenagers and their families. Dara also served on the Board of Directors for the York Literacy Council to help strengthen families through literacy education.
Jenee Tucker currently serves as a Senior Director for Community Impact for Family League. As a Senior Director, Tucker helps to develop and implement the strategic vision of the organization through stewardship of programs. She manages a $12 million budget that supports education initiatives to include: school readiness, community schools and connected out-of-school-time programs, community-based youth development programming and professional development. In addition to managing innovative evidence-based programs & initiatives, Tucker leads a small team of Program Directors and works collaboratively with stakeholders to support equitable grant making and evaluating program effectiveness.
Valuing community empowerment and service, Jenee Tucker has over two decades of experience working toward creating positive outcomes for at promise, under-resourced youth, families, and communities. Jenee joined Family League as a Program Manager for Community & School Engagement in 2016 was elevated to Program Director of Community Schools in 2017 and then served as Director of Programs in 2019 before taking on her new role in February 2024. Prior to joining Family League, Tucker established a track record in youth development, education, family and community engagement, mentoring and juvenile justice, having formerly worked for Baltimore City Public Schools, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Maryland, and The Virginia State Department of Correctional Education.
Tucker, a native of Baltimore, earned an M.S. in Project Management from the Earl G. Graves School of Business and Management at Morgan State University. She completed her undergraduate studies at Virginia Union University, where she earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice and was honored as the class Salutatorian. Jenee is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Inc., Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society and Project Management Institute (PMI) Baltimore.
Melissa Moore currently serves as the Senior Director for Community Impact for Family League. In her current role, Melissa oversees Family League’s maternal and child health, food justice, and interagency initiatives investments, ensuring the effective delivery of our organization’s mission. She is a skilled leader with a dedication to service, growth, and stewardship. A member of the organization since 2012, Melissa is a recipient of the Mayors Medallion for Meritorious service and brings extensive experience in increasing efficiencies and cultivating a culture that aligns with our core values. Melissa lives with her wife in West Baltimore and in her free time, she enjoys working in the garden.
