Paid Volunteer Opportunity for Baltimore Residents to Shape the Work of the Family League

Family League of Baltimore and Morgan State University School of Community Health and Policy in partnership with Share Our Strength and CLLCTIVLY, announce the 21 recipients of $200,000 in Adaptive Village Small Grants. Adaptive Village Small Grants program is dedicated to supporting grassroots leaders in the City of Baltimore by providing low-strings-attached grant funding, enabling Baltimore communities to tell their own stories and celebrate their efforts unfiltered by others. Over 120 community members submitted a 3-minute video application, requesting grants from $2500-$25,000 to support innovative projects addressing issues of public safety, education, housing, employment, and transportation. In just 10 days there were over 11,000 online votes.

Mayor Brandon M. Scott announces $1 million in Grants to 25 Community Organizations

BALTIMORE, Md. – July 15, 2021 – Mayor Brandon M. Scott joined Family League of Baltimore (Family League) and the Baltimore Children’s Cabinet today to announce $1 million in grants to 25 community organizations supporting youth in grades Pre-K through 12 and young adults up to age 24. The investment is part of a larger commitment by Family League of more than $2 million to expand community-based enrichment opportunities for youth and comes on the heels of a $1 million investment to support Baltimore City Recreation & Parks programming, announced earlier this week.
